While tensions rise in the Korean Peninsula, North Korea issues a stern warning to the U.S. and its traditional allies to stay away from further threats in that region. The following article on KCNA, explains the situation:
Pyongyang, June 22 - Choe Un Bok, first vice-chairperson of the General Association of Koreans in China, made public a statement on June 19 rejecting the UNSC "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK cooked up at the instigation of the U.S.
The statement condemned the adoption of the UNSC "resolution" over the DPRK's underground nuclear test as a grave provocation and an unpardonable gangster-like act of violating the sovereignty and dignity of the Korean nation. It expressed resentment at the brigandish logic that only a big country can have access to nukes while denying a sovereign state's legitimate right to launch satellite.
It warned that the arrogant behavior of the U.S. imperialists and their followers to stifle by force the country loving its system and refusing to obey a big country would spark off strong counteractions of the world progressives and the Korean people.
We fully support the statement of the DPRK Foreign Ministry resolutely rejecting the UNSC "resolution 1874" faked up at the U.S. imperialists' instigation, the statement stressed.
