(Hamsayeh.Net) - According to Iranian media reports, Vice President and Head of Iran's Atomic Organization, Gholam Reza Aghazadeh, officially submitted his resignation for the post.

Aghazadeh was instrumental in the development of Iranian nuclear program to the stage it is today. Iranian Atomic Organization Spokesman Mohsed Delaviz confirmed Aghazadeh's resignation. Delavis said that his name will remain in Iran's nuclear history. There was no immediate explanation for Aghazedeh's resignation.

Reza Aghazadeh, successfully managed the country's nuclear progress through years of international pressures. He held high profile posts for over two decades under four different Presidents. Aghazadeh was Iran's oil minister prior to his becoming the head of the country's Atomic Energy Organization.
