Iranian Plane catches fire while landing at Mashad airport | |||
|
Khorasan Razavi Province – A passenger plane caught fire while landing in Mashad Friday afternoon and a number of people were killed or injured. The plane was flying from Tehran to Mashad.
Khorasan Razavi Province Deputy Governor Qahreman Rashid said that up to 20:00 hours local time, 17 persons were killd and 19 others were injured. The plane which belongs to Aria Airline had 153 passengers all of whom have been evacuated from the plane. The incident occurred at 18:10 hours local time ( 14:40 hours GMT) when the Illushin plane wanted to land at the Hashemi-Nejad Airport.
