(Hamsayeh.Net) - Ahmadinejad sacks his new Vise President Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei nearly a week after his designation.

Following a direct order from the Supreme Leader Ayatatollah Ali Khamenei to sack the new First Vise President, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad officially accepts Mashaei's resignation.

Rahim Mashaei is a long time friend of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his daughter is also married to Ahmadinejad's son. Since his designation a week ago, many people complained about the choice and called for his immediate resignation. They cite Mashaei's controversial comments  in 2008 about Israel when he said 'Iran and Israel were friends.'

Despite Ahmadinejad's support for Mashaei, he had no choice but to accept his new First Vice President's resignation due to an official letter written by Khamenei to immediately remove and replace Mashaei.
