Tehran, August 06, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iran's Central Bank announced it issued new 5000 Rials bills, today. The new bills show the image of Iran's first domestically built satellite 'OMID' which was sent to space last year. The new bills entered circulation from last Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund released its forecasts for Iran for this year. The IMF expects the Iranian economy to grow by 3.2-percentage point in 2009, which will place the country's economic development standing at 44th place out of 182 worldwide.
According to IMF, Iran experienced its largest economic growth in 2007 with an average of 7.8-percentage point. Among Iran's neighbours, UAE will have its economy actually shrink from 2 to 3 percent this year due to a protracted recession currently underway in the property market sector in Dubai.
