Iran Busts Several US Backed Cyberspace Networks | ||

The network 'Iran Proxy' received about $50 million to stage anti-Iran operations.
Iranian general prosecutor office in Tehran said it was able to bust several cyberspace anti-Iran networks that received US backings. Security forces arrested 30 people who acted as members of the networks, IRNA reported on Saturday.
A statement issued by the office of the prosecutor general said following months of investigations, security officers and revolutionary people have discovered a number of organized networks. The statement also said members of this network received financial support from the CIA, which had allocated a $400 million for an anti-Iran program in 2006.
A particularly important network known as 'Iran Proxy' received a large portion of the funds about $50 million to stage anti-Iran operations. Some of the missions of this group included getting access to the country’s banking system, creation of various cyber war scenarios, providing support for anti-Iran movements through Radio-Farda, Radio Zammaneh and other networks.
