The two Presidents tried to present a united stance in front of reporters when they pressed for greater sanctions against Tehran. US President Barack Obama said he hoped sanctions would be implemented this coming spring. ‘I'm interested in seeing that regime in place in weeks,’ Reuters reported Obama as saying.
In the town Gatineau, where local French people have been struggling for independence following years of abuse in the hands of the English-speaking groups that hold the power in Ottawa, Nicholas Sarkozy said he was supportive of the US President to push for sanctions.

Also in Europe, leading European countries may find it difficult to seriously consider imposing an embargo on Iran due to ensuing economic uncertainty over oil and gas supplies.
Meanwhile Iran is making headways in its domestic nuclear program where the technicians at Natanz enrichment facilities achieved greater progress enriching uranium at up to 20 percent purity level. Once completed the nuclear fuel will be places at the core of Tehran’s medical reactor, which supplies radioisotopes for hospitals and MRI centers across the country.
