Washington and some of its allies are alone in thinking that the Iranian nuclear program poses a danger to to the world.
April 10, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - The United States President Obama believes increasing the level of antagonism against Iran would eventually bring out the opportunities for better relationship in the future.
In an apparent reversal of his earlier policy on Iran, the US president said he was not too sure that sanctions could change Iran’s decision about the nuclear program, but perhaps it’s the only available option left to try. ‘Do we have a guarantee as to the sanctions we are able to institute at this stage are automatically going to change Iranian behavior? Of course we don't,’ he said during a live television show yesterday.
Washington and some of its allies are alone in thinking that the Iranian nuclear program poses a danger to anyone. Most other powers and countries around the world support the Iranian nuclear program as they do not see a smoking gun just around the corner. It’s only the United States led by a smaller ally called Israel that repeatedly claim Iran’s nuclear program poses a grave danger to the world.
As an outstanding member of the NPT, Iran enjoys one of the most transparent nuclear programs amongst all the members. International inspectors regularly visit to the country’s nuclear installations. Tehran also offered cooperation in the nuclear field within the NPT framework.
