Hu Jintao met Obama on the sideline a mostly symbolic nuclear disarmament summit in Washington Monday, where he again reiterated his country’s support for negotiations with Tehran. ‘China hopes that various parties will continue to step up diplomatic efforts and actively seek effective ways to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue through dialogue and negotiations,’ a Chinese government spokesman said after the meeting.

The United States and allies diligently seek to harness China’s speedy development by blocking Beijing’s direct access to oil. Washington is putting enormous pressures on China to increase the value of yuan, which would make US manufactured products more competitive and therefore create more jobs in the US.
Way back the US enjoyed a robust economy by manufacturing everyday goods from jeans and T-shirts to various models of refrigerators and automobiles that could export them all over the world. But today, prolific Asian industrial giants have replaced the US as the main industrial hub for manufacturing high quality, yet affordable, everyday consumer products.
