The US reserves the right to use nuclear weapons on other nuclear-armed states plus Iran which is a non-nuclear armed state.
April 26, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - US defense Secretary has once again threatened Iran and North Korea as two countries that the US could use nuclear weapons against.
Robert Gates, speaking at a defense department briefing on Sunday, addressed the audience about a new US promise to not use atomic weapons against non-nuclear countries with the exception of Iran. In other words the United States says it reserves the right to deploy nuclear weapons against other nuclear-armed states plus Iran, which is considered a non-nuclear armed state.
According to Robert Gates the new nuclear doctrine announced a few weeks ago could apply only to those countries that the United States alone recognizes as nuclear and non-nuclear armed nations.
Historically, the United States is the only country in the world that has ever used nuclear weapons on other humans and it’s also the only country in modern history, which unilaterally issues itself the right to deliver pre-emptive strikes against other nations, particularly those poor countries that have very limited means of defense.
