Withdraw to your borders and mind your own business: Ahmadinejad advises U.S.

May 12, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - In Iran’s southwestern city of Yasuj today, the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejd speaking at a large gathering advised the United States to withdraw its forces from the region, immediately.

Ahmadinejad told Americans to wake up because the era of colonialism in which some foreign entities could plunder other regions’ natural wealth is over. The Iranian President was perhaps referring to the abundance of oil and gas resources in the Middle East, which the United States and Western industrial nations depend on.

‘You'd better listen to the Iranian nations' advice: Abandon your stubbornness; live with other nations based on justice and friendship, like human beings; leave the region; leave Afghanistan; leave Iraq; withdraw to your borders and mind your own business,’ Ahmadinejad said.

Persian Gulf countries produce over 40 percent of global oil output and they’re expected to supply an even greater amount of energy to international market in the future. The current global recession has decreased demands for oil and gas. But if the global economy should recover again, there would be an increase in demand once again.

United States and its western allies invaded Iraq and Afghanistan several years ago in order to reassure a steady flow of oil and gas from the region. Washington’s claim on fighting terrorism has turned out to be just a hoax. It’s now evident that the United States is actually the main culprit supporting and encouraging many of the terrorist activities happening around the world.
