Rachel Corrie MV plans to unload its cargo directly in Gaza unless Israel's so-called troops decide to hijack it to Israeli port of Ashdod.

June 05, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Belligerent Israeli commandos aboard several warships are closely shadowing Gaza bound humanitarian ship Rachel Corrie MV at this time.

The aid ship is about 50 km from Gaza and it plans to unload its cargo directly in Gaza unless Israel's so-called troops decide to hijack it to Israeli port of Ashdod. Israel had announced plan to direct the ship to Ashdod and deliver the goods by itself to Gaza Strip. Activists however expressed doubts over the delivery of goods by Israel.

Tel-Aviv claims it is sending enough humanitarian aid to Gaza, but international observers and general conditions in Gaza point to unprecedented human catastrophe in the making.

Rachel Corrie MV is flying Irish flag and government officials have warned Israelis not to harm any of the passengers onboard the ship. Activists say they are not afraid of moving toward Gaza and unless Israel takes over the ship, it would sail directly to Gaza port.   "There were two warships in the back of them ... and a smaller boat was approaching," Greta Berlin of the Free Gaza movement said from the movement's headquarters in Cyprus, citing a passenger on board.

Last Monday Israeli top commandos wielding wartime machine guns and other combat weapons, attacked unarmed civilians on their humanitarian mission to Gaza. The so-called IDF commandos in an act of outmost cowardice succeeded in killing several passengers. Israeli troops feel at home when they use their US supplied guns at children, elderly and bystanders. One of Israeli troops’ specialty is to shoot at underage kids when asleep. In 2006 only several hundred mighty Hizbollah combatants thoroughly bamboozled tens of thousands of fully armed IDF troops during the 33-day war. Israel troops left the scene without any delay. 

A passenger onboard Rachel Corrie MV Mairead Maguire said navy vessels were following Rachel Corrie and its radar systems have been jammed. ‘We are not afraid and we are all advocating non-violence… and we will just sit here and go if they insist on commandeering our boat and forcing us into Ashdod,’ Maguire told Aljazeera.
