Israel wants the whole world to believe, for instance, the well known American murderer Charles Manson and his team were in fact the victims, while those killed by Manson were the aggressors.

Tehran, June 06, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - People worldwide are beginning to question which side in the ongoing conflict in Gaza is really in need of immediate assistance.

The Gazans who now after nearly two years of blockade face a catastrophe, or the Israelis who seem to be busy projecting a reality that doesn’t exist similar to people suffering from a psychological problem called schizophrenia. 

The latter continues to resist this simple logic that says when someone assaults another person from behind or while asleep, using a handheld machine gun, he or she is called the attacker the other person is called a victim. For instance, the famous American murderer Charles Manson and his team were the attackers while those people killed following Manson’s attacks were called the victims. 

This simple fact is completely alien to Israelis when their forces ( IDF) cowardly attacked a Gaza bound humanitarian flotilla last Monday. Tel-Aviv keeps insisting that it is the real victim.

Early Friday morning, Israel official government websites released a video by someone named Caroline Glick, a former member of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and columnist for the Jerusalem Post, hoping it would make people around the world realize Israeli innocence.

In her video she and others mockingly sing a song called ‘We Con the World’ in the tune of a famous 1985 song ‘ We are the World’. The video shows several people, some wearing traditional Palestinian kaftans; recite the following childish lines (full text):

For the world, the Web and CNN
There’s no people dying,
so the best that we can do
Is create the greatest bluff of all

That in Gaza, there’s crisis, hunger and plague

It appears many in Israel want the world to judge that fully armed IDF soldiers are the victims and sleeping Turkish people onboard Mavi Marmara, the ship carrying humanitarian aid, were the aggressors. Only a simpleton or psychologically unstable person could believe the Israeli side. Renowned writer Uri Avnery says, ‘to any normal person, this may sound crazy. Heavily armed soldiers of an elite commando unit board a ship on the high seas in the middle of the night, from the sea and from the air – and they are the victims?’ 

Today, however, such unprecedented degree of hypocrisy exercised by Israelis against the global community backfired when government officials apologized for releasing the video on their websites. A statement by Israeli government press division read, ‘due to a misunderstanding on our part, earlier (Friday) we inadvertently issued a video link that had been sent for our perusal.

It was not intended for general release, the contents of the video in no way represent the official policy of either the Government Press Office or of the State of Israel.’
