We need to draw a clear line and say that whoever crosses it will not be boarded but sunk: Israeli top commander warns Turkish officials. June 07, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - They say only great men can change the course of history and today Turkish Prime Minister is certainly one of them. Most people in the world admire Recep Tayyip Erdogan and members of his cabinet for their relentless humanitarian efforts to break the ongoing atrocious siege of Gaza by the Israelis. Tel-Aviv claims its total blockade over 1.5 million Gazans is justified because Palestinians could import weapons for use against Israel. The international community however dismisses Israeli claims by rightfully saying a sea blockade of Gaza is not necessary since it should be quite easy to intercept ships – as Israeli troops have shown in past several days on humanitarian flotillas – and check for alleged smuggled weapons. Undermining the will of international community, Israeli troops attacked and killed many activists on board humanitarian ships last Monday. Many of those killed were citizen of Turkey. The Turkish government and its secular military have up until now tried their best to bring peace and harmony to the region. But repeated acts of belligerence by trigger-happy Israeli commandos disregarded Turkish government's efforts that led to widespread disrespect for Israeli Zionists throughout the globe. This morning the Popular Turkish Prime Minister expressed readiness to accompany a Turkish Navy vessel escorting fresh humanitarian vessels for Gaza. Israel Threatened Turkey that it views such an attempt as an act of war. Senior IDF commander Uzi Dayan said ‘If he (Turkish Prime Minister) comes here with Turkish warships there can be no doubt that it would amount to a declaration of war.’ Adding, ‘we need to draw a clear line and say that whoever crosses it will not be boarded but sunk.’ Other Israeli regime’s military officials urged their colleagues to tone down verbal attacks against the Turkish Prime Minister. IDF official Amos Gilad said, ‘Precisely because there is a crisis, we need to act with judgment and avoid calling a democratically elected leader a terrorist.’ Exactly what makes Tel-Aviv reaches the conclusion that it could handle powerful Turkey’s wrath is not known. The regime in Tel-Aviv not only threatens Turkey but almost every country in the region and beyond. Of course powerful Turkey is not alone in its campaign to end Israeli atrocities. Ankara is backed by billions of people and their respective governments from around the world.
