All necessary details and specifications for the construction of a new site is ready and we hope the actual construction of the site will begin by the end of current Iranian calendar. Tehran, July 12, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iran’s Head of Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi announced production of 20 kg of higher enriched uranium for future use at Tehran nuclear reactor since the beginning of this process by Iranian experts, several months ago. Salehi speaking to reporters on the sideline of a weekly cabinet session said production of fuel casings is also underway which would supply ready to install uranium fuel inside Tehran reactor for generating medical radioisotopes. Production of fuel rod casing is considered a technologically advanced process that many westerners believe Iran wont be able to achieve. Most fuel casings are made of a special metal called Zirconium. The metal has special physical characteristics to withstand extreme heat during the process. Salehi also announced construction of a new nuclear plant similar to the one currently operating in Tehran in the near future. ‘All necessary details and specifications for the construction of a new site is ready and we hope the actual construction of the site will begin by the end of current Iranian calendar,’ Said Ali Akbar Salehi. The Obama administration bewildered by an ongoing economic catastrophe engulfing the western economies and faced with countering the rise of an economic behemoth from the East, has been trying hard to maintain western monopolies over scientific matters, particularly nuclear related technologies following the Second World War.
