US fake claim of interests for talks after engaging in an all out anti-Iran actions is nothing but another scandal for the American administration: Top Iranian Official.

Tehran, August 15, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Top Iran official Ali Larijani Speaker of Majlis (Parliament) today blasted US overture for talks after relentless accusations and sanctions against Iran by the Obama administration.

Speaking at the opening session of the Majlis after a two-week recess, Ali Larijani said US fake claim of interests for talks after engaging in an all out anti-Iran actions is nothing but another scandal for the American administration, Fars News Agency reported.

Iran's parliament (Majlis) speaker criticized a recent US call for talks with Iran on Afghanistan as "unacceptable" and deceitful. ‘You have committed crimes in Afghanistan, opposing democratic aspirations of Afghans,’ addressed Larijani, adding ‘We don't share a common path to negotiate and they better not assume that by using a different tone it would be possible to forget the extend of their betrayal against the people.

Meanwhile in Tehran a senior Iranian lawmaker reassured all Iranians that the country’s peaceful nuclear program including enrichment activities would continue on successfully. 

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, Head of Iran’s Parliament National Security and Foreign policy Commission, said Iran will continue with its enrichment activities because Iranians have no confidence in Western countries.  

Most people in this region are extremely distrustful of Western double standards particularly when it comes scientific and nuclear related issues. US and other Western countries including France and Germany have many times broken their contracts. France for instance, illegally blocked shipment of Iranian-purchased peaceful nuclear fuel for many years so far. Germany’s Siemens broke its contract for construction of Bushehr nuclear reactor after initial construction work began in the 70,s.

In regards to nuclear proliferation, US and its small circle of allies always tend to ignore tiny-Israel’s illegal stockpiling of nuclear weapons despite the fact the Tel Aviv refuses to join the NPT.
