Russia has never used the project as a winning card for political exploitation: Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
August 18, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov today during a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Russia Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi in Moscow, once again voiced full support for Iran’s right to access peaceful nuclear technology.
The Russian official said he supports a nuclear agreement reached among Iran, Turkey and Brazil last May on nuclear fuel swap for Tehran’s sole functioning medical reactor.
In regards to the opening of Bushehr this week, Ryabkov expressed Moscow’s willingness to complete the project, never using it as a bargaining chip in its own relations with other countries. He stressed expansion of cooperation with Iran at all levels.
Iran’s first nuclear power plant called Bushehr located near a city by the same name will be inaugurated on August 21. Already the United States in tandem with its smaller ally Israel is showing symptoms of extreme psychological setback reminiscent of a defeated person who is unwilling to face the reality.
Former US representative to the UN, who is also one of Zionist regime’s strongest supporters, John Bolton, yesterday warned US and Israel of only eight more days remaining for a military attack against Iran. He said after installation of nuclear fuel rods inside the core of the reactor, Israel or the United States could no longer launch an attack against Iran because of nuclear fallout. Mr. Bolton did not quite explain how he came up with an eight-day warning, whereas in fact there’s only three days remaining for the transfer of nuclear fuel inside the reactor.
