Today, the global arrogance, with geo-economic thought, has come to the region to control its energy resources: top army commander.

Tehran, September 09, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Top Iranian army general warned extra territorial powers to forget about monopolizing energy riches of the Middle East. ‘Iran counters hegemonic designs on regional energy resources’ said the commander of the Iranian Army on Monday.

The warning issued by Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan reiterated Iran’s determination to counter Zionist-led western corporate strategy for controlling Middle Eastern energy resources which would in turn enable them to continue monopolizing global economies. ‘Today, the global arrogance, with geo-economic thought, has come to the region to control its energy resources, and they are committing every crime in order to attain their illegitimate objectives, and unfortunately, the international community is not putting any obstacle in their way,’ the Army commander stated. 

Pourdastan also said Iranian Armed Forces are always monitoring threats posed by the enemy both militarily and psychologically. Zionist dominated western media have in recent months increased their propaganda campaign against Iran in the form of soft war aimed at creating division among various sectors of society. 

With no bright future looming over the horizon for Zionist-led western corporate system, oil-dependent US is trying hard to keep a military presence in volatile regions around the world under the façade of combating terrorism and extremism. Washington uses the Israeli regime much like a military base to project its influence over the region.

The arrangement resembling a marriage of convenience, worked smoothly until a 2008 systemic collapse of western financial system revealed the inner weaknesses of such intrinsically flawed partnership between Washington and the Zionist regime. It forced a great section of US and European people -now suffering under poverty, unemployment, violence and other social ills to confront their own elitist neocon officials. Meanwhile the Zionist regime having received huge financial, military and political supports from bankrupt US is experiencing an economic boom when its big benefactor is in depression.

Mass demonstrations against poverty, unemployment and war are becoming more common across US and Europe. General strikes by French workers opposing changes made to social security coverage this week paralyzed the European nation which historically considers itself the hub of European cultural heritage in many ways more advanced than the British across the channel.

Greece is another European country that now sees mass revolts after a recent economic collapse caused by an earlier blind following of the US casino capitalist system.  The economic crisis forced Greek government impose a stringent austerity measure against the country's middle class.
