The fact is if the video is true, which is most likely the case, it would constitute a war crime by Pakistani troops with Washington’s aid. October 01, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - A short video clip published on the Internet shows Pakistani soldiers executes six young men wearing civilian clothes, in northern Pakistani region of Swat Valley. Urdu speaking soldiers lined up six young men who appeared to be either Taliban members or likely just civilian sympathizers from that area, and executed all six using semi-automatic G3 rifles. According to Pakistani sources the video clip is not fake but the US insists the video could just be a propaganda piece by the Jihadists. Washington supplies financial aid to Pakistani Army to fight the Taliban and Pashtun people living in Waziristan and other regions close to Afghanistan border. The spokesman for the Pakistani Army, Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas, dismissed the video as part of a propaganda campaign by jihadists to defame the Pakistani Army. “No Pakistan Army soldier or officer has been involved in activity of this sort,” he said. The fact is if the video is true, which is most likely the case, it would constitute a war crime by Pakistani troops with Washington’s aid. US law prohibits giving assistance to another country’s army involved in such actions. If the video’s authenticity was proven, Washington would have to stop providing assistance to Pakistani Army. Pakistani Army is holding over 3000 prisoners in the area it is operating in Waziristan. US also continues its daily drone attacks on civilian population.
