The world is in a state of shock and bewilderment due to Iran’s scientific breakthrough which is a source of pride for the Iranian nation: Iran's FM. October 18, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki announced lifting of visa requirement for visitors of neighboring countries. According to Mottaki the new measure aims at strengthening ties and enhancing communications amongst the countries of the region. Iran has already lifted visa requirements for Turkey, Azerbaijan and would enact a similar agreement with Georgia in the near future. ‘The world is in a state of shock and bewilderment due to Iran’s scientific breakthrough which is a source of pride for the Iranian nation,’ Mottaki was quoted as saying by IRNA. The move comes at the time when most Western countries are busy enacting more stringent measures for visitors from other countries. The US in particular has recently moved to create greater visa requirement for immigrants and visitors.
