Ahmadinejad's Visit to Tajikistan | |||
Arrogant Empire's End is NearDushanbe, Tajikistan Jan. 05, 10 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the Iranian President at a meeting with a group of Iranian residents in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, reiterated Iran’s steadfast quest to complete its peaceful nuclear program.
He said Tehran would under no conditions give up the rights to achieve self-sufficiency in field of nuclear technology. He said as a signatory to the None-Proliferation Treaty and with respect to current circumstances, Iran is ‘tenfold stronger’ than it was a year ago.
According to Ahmadinejad, Tehran would soon demand war reparation from warring parties that invaded the country during WWII, whereby inflicting major humanitarian as well as physical damages. He told Western countries that massive military presence in the oil-rich regions of Middle East further exasperated the situation and by continuing this trend they would simply speed up the collapse of their own empires.
‘God willing, the dark ages of humanity are coming to an end and the Iranian nation can fill the vacuum created by the collapse of imperialistic powers,’ IRNA quoted him as saying. The Iranian President hoped the war in Afghanistan would soon be replaced by a period of real peace and prosperity.
The US army and NATO attacked Afghanistan in 2001 in a hunt for Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, who supposedly was the mastermind behind the September 11 events in New York.
But as many military analysts predicted, foreign troops have now been drawn into a long protracted stalemate against local militants and perhaps no more than 100 individual Al Qaeda members in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Military expert say it would be impossible for the US and NATO to change the course of events until such a time when they actually experience defeats in the hands of Taliban and consequently forced to leave the region.
