The Enemies' Psychological War Against Iran has Hit a Snag

Tehran 27, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iranian deputy intelligence minister addressed an audience at a conference in Tehran yesterday about the enemy’s losses at efforts to stage a psychological war against Iran and said more detail on this will be made public in the near future. 

 

The conference was held to examine strategies to combat soft war techniques, Mehr News Agency reported. ‘The thick dossier of the enemies' soft war on Iran will be closed soon and Iran will prevail over Israel, the US and Britain in this soft war, right now, enemies are seeking to win the soft war through expanding cyber space and spending heavy budgets, but we will announce some gladdening news about Iran's victory in the soft war in the next few days,’ acting deputy intelligence minister said.

 

He also pointed out that overthrowing the national government and replacing it with a puppet government is the main goal pursued by the West's soft war on Iran

The soft war being staged by Iran’s foes mainly the US, the Israeli regime and the UK targeted the country’s social fabrics and aimed at preparing an atmosphere of instability and chaos in the country through the use of common media outlets such as the Internet and satellite programs.

 

The enemies also sought greater participation of the country’s youth in various forms of civil disobedience reminiscent of the so-called Velvet Revolutions in certain parts of Central Asia and Eastern Europe after the collapse of the Soviet Union. 'Iran has experienced various kinds of wars - military and non-military - after the victory of the Islamic Revolution and has always emerged successful,' the intelligence official was quoted as saying  by the Fars News Agency.

 

Earlier Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei warned of enemy’s plans to stage soft warfare against Iran during a speech, saying, ‘Today, the main priority of the country is to confront (enemy's) soft warfare which is aimed at creating doubt, discord and pessimism among the masses of people.’ and urged people to confront the phenomenon.
