Taliban Carries Out Deadly Attacks on US Troops in Pakistan

3 US Soldiers and 4 Pakistani Locals Were Killed By the Blast Near School.

February 04, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Pakistani based Taliban carried out a devastating suicide bomb attack on a school in Swat Valley in northwest Pakistan killing 3 US soldiers and 4 others.

Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack and promised more to follow. ‘We will continue such attacks on Americans,’ a Taliban spokesman told Reuters by telephone. The attacked targeted a new girl school reportedly rebuilt by the so called US’ humanitarian assistance during an opening ceremony. In total, 3 US soldiers, 3 school girls, 1 Pakistani security guard killed and 47 others including 2 more US soldiers were wounded by the blast.

Nuclear armed Pakistan is experiencing increased instability since the government of the highly unpopular Asef Ali Zardari entered American-led war on Taliban. Zardari government ordered Pakistani troops to station near Afghan border while the US supplied the funds. Most Pakistani people now blame Zardari for all the devastations on their side of the border.

Meanwhile the US and coalition troops plan on a major offensive in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan in the coming days. The offensive would try to take over the area from Taliban control and supposedly end opium cultivations in that part of Afghanistan.

Most Pakistanis blame the government for the escalation of violence across Pakistan
