'I can't articulate my joy when heard the news on television, yesterday,' Mehran a University Student.
Tehran, February 08, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Millions of Iranians stand in support of the country’s latest nuclear enrichment announcement by the government.
In a phone survey conducted by Hamseyeh.Net with some of Tehran’s residents, nearly all those interviewed with, conveyed their fullest support for the Iranian government’s latest decision to begin the 20 percent enrichment process on Tuesday.
Mehran, an Iranian university student said he couldn’t articulate his joy when he heard the news on television, yesterday. And Mohammad, another student also said he was absolutely proud of his country for going ahead with a domestic nuclear program. Soheila an Iranian housewife, said she liked what Ahmadinejad said about beginning the peaceful process of 20 percent enrichment because she said, ‘Where else could we get the nuclear fuel for Tehran’s medical reactor except through our own effort.’
Iran has already informed the IAEA about going ahead with the 20 percent enrichment process on Tuesday. Ali Akbar Salehi, the Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said the process could be halted if Tehran receives the enriched uranium for its medical reactor.
Western officials were skeptical of Iran’s ability to actually raise the enrichment level. But a leading nuclear expert and a former nuclear inspector with the IAEA, David Albright, confirmed Iran had the technical ability to enrich the required uranium without outside assistance.
