Iran is Defenitely Capable of Raising the Enrichemnt Level to 20 Percent: Salehi

Iran to Begin 20 Percent Enrichemnt Today.

Tehran, February 09, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - In response to French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner’s comments calling the plan to raise the level of enrichment as a political bluff by Iran, the Head of Atomic Organization Ali Akbar Salehi said Tehran is definitely capable of producing uranium to higher enrichment levels.

Iran is set begin the process today, after informing the IAEA earlier. According to Salehi all the design works have already been carried out and the process is ready to start right away. The move however provoked strong reactions from anti-Iran camps namely the US, France and Britain, which continue to view global relations from a post WWII point of views up to this day.

In short the US-led Western alliance seeks to maintain monopolies on important scientific, economic, international trades and especially control over flow of oil and gas to the international markets. The latter could be the most important tool at West’s disposal to actually harness China’s massive economic progress and weaken Russia’s global clout for years to come. This could explain why the US and its allies have invaded Iraq and boosted military presence in the Middle East. The US proposed global missile-shield defense around Russia and China could also serve for the same pupose.

The US defense secretary Robert Gates called for stronger sanctions against Iran, while the French President Nicholas Sarkozy blamed Iran for its decision and agreed to impose strong sanctions against Iran. Germany and Britain also made similar comments against Iran and called on Moscow and Beijing to support strong sanctions against Iran.

Iran's Head of Atmic Energy brushed aside

doubts over Iran's capability to raise the

level of enrichment.
