The US Supremacy is Melting Away Like Snow in Front of the Sun.
February 19, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinajed in a meeting with the Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Martinov on Wednesday said the United States is quickly approaching the end of its post World War II supremacy and nothing could stop it.
‘The US supremacy is melting away just like snow in front of the sun,’ Ahmadinejad elaborated during the meeting with Belarusian official. He added that the main reason for America’s demise was the way it deals with important global issues, saying ‘Mr. Obama and its friends or even his rivals cannot change the trend, so we must get ready for the changes to happen in the future.’
Ahmadinejad praised the growing relationship between Iran and Belarus and said such cooperation serve the interests of all the countries in the region. For his part, Martynov noted Iran’s importance in the region and said Minsk is determined to expand cooperation with Iran.
United States is facing unprecedented challenges in its domestic and international relations. The growing government deficit and depression-like economic situation with no end in sight would certainly deal a major blow to US global supremacy held since the end of the Second World War.
The country as a major industrial nation has lost nearly its entire manufacturing basis to overseas competitors, thereby leaving a quarter of American citizens unemployed for the rest of their lives. The only major manufacturing sector remains the security-military establishment.
Currently the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen and elsewhere perhaps do serve as a grand job creation program for thousands of younger people who would otherwise be unemployed if they go back to their towns in the US.
