Nuclear Fuel to be Loaded Inside the Core of Bushehr Reactor On Tuesday: MP

We are to proceed with our programs on time despite pressure being exerted by the US and a number of western countries by imposing sanctions on Iran: Prominent Iranian MP.

October 25,2010 (Hamsayeh.net) - A prominent Iranian MP, today announced the country’s first nuclear reactor at Bushehr would be loaded with nuclear rods fuel tomorrow.

Chairman of the Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi said the core of Bushehr nuclear power plant is ready to receive uranium fuel rods on Tuesday, IRNA reported.

Speaking of the latest achievements with respect to Iran’s peaceful nuclear program during a meeting with a group of African ambassadors in the Islamic republic of Iran, the MP noted, ‘We are to proceed with our programs on time despite pressure being exerted by the US and a number of western countries by imposing sanctions on Iran.’

Even with years of sanctions and political pressures against Iran by the United States and its ever-dwindling number of allies, the oil-rich Middle Eastern country has indeed achieved great deeds in the highly sophisticated field of nuclear technology. Much to US’ dismay, Iran today is capable of operating all aspects of nuclear technology from uranium mining to enrichment processing.
