The World is Preparing to Grill US on Human Rights Abuses

Washington, has not even joined "the most important convention on human rights", namely the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: official report.

November 4, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - The world is getting prepared to grill the United States over systematic human rights abuses at home and overseas. Before the opening session of Human Rights Commission this week, Iran released its own report on human right abuses by the United States of America as the number one rights violator in the world.

‘The United States… contrary to calls by the international community, the United Nations and promises by [US President Barack] Obama … has failed to close prisons at Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib,’ Iran's foreign ministry said in statement on Wednesday. It also added, Washington, has not even joined "the most important convention on human rights", namely the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

The report mentions widespread use of Tasers by US police forces that have caused over 300 deaths between 2001 and 2008. US Police often use tasers to temporarily paralyze suspects across the United States. The North American country is now considered by many as the world's most dangerous place to live amongst developed countries with respect to increasing violence, felony and murder.

This Friday, 47 member of UN Human Rights Commission will begin an annual meeting on the subject of human rights abuses around the world and it’s expected to focus primarily on human rights abuses by the US.

Inside he North American nation itself human rights groups are busy reporting numerous instances of rights abuses by the Zionist-run plutocratic establishment currently holding its ominous grip over the future of 300 million Americans.  ‘Discrimination permeates all aspects of life in the U.S., and extends to all communities of color, and when coupled with discrimination on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, disability or other bases, can have a devastating impact,’ a report by a coalition known as the US Human Rights Network says.

The long-list of human rights abuses by the US goes back to post WWII period. Only recently, there have been reports of US military medical experimentation on thousands of Guatemalan villagers six decades ago. Medical researchers directly working for US department of defense deliberately exposed Guatemalans to syphilis and gonorrhea.  This scandal among many other similar tests forced the Obama administration to officially apologize for having committed this inhumane crime against people of other nations.
