A Repeat of Western Pressure Tactics During Next Nuclear Talks - An Exercise In Futility

Iran is a big country and the Iranians are a very strong nation but they (the enemies) are so proud and self-centered that do not want to accept this issue: Ahmadinejad.

November 11, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad urged the West to begin accepting Iran as a powerful country and not again waste their time with another round of exercise in futility trying to impose a halt to an already advanced civilian nuclear program.

The Iranian President highly recommended that in the next round of nuclear talks between Iran and the 5+1 countries the West to pursue only a logical path thereby avoid using similar policies as it did before. ‘Iran believes that its nuclear case has been closed; moves by enemies have no impact on the nuclear issue. They are mistaken,’ said Ahmadinejad during a visit to the northeastern city of Qazvin.

Ahmadinejad added,’Iran has presented its proposals to the G5+1 -- Britain, China, France, Russia and the US plus Germany -- within the framework of a package based on dialogue on equal conditions. They should accept logic and law.’

Meanwhile the next round of nuclear talks are due to start later this month or early next month in Turkey. The Turkish Prime Minister has confirmed Iran’s proposed date for the talks. ‘The foreign minister announced at the press conference held in the closing ceremony of the 9th Asia Cooperation Dialogue meeting on November 9 (yesterday) that 'November 15 has been proposed (by the opposite side) and I think sufficient flexibility requires that the date be specified through consultations' an informed source at the Turkish foreign ministry said.

In the past, some Western countries particularly the US had taken the policy of using outdated pressure tactics during their nuclear talks with Iran. But now it seems that after repeated failures the US and its fast dwindling number of allies may have reached the conclusion that it is time to experience some real changes from within and begin pursuing the path of logic.
