Tehran, August 11, 2009 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hassan Qashqavi speaking to reporters, journalists and news managers in Tehran stressed the importance of Media and its role to thwart propaganda against the country.
He said that Iranian media community must be vigilant about outside plots especially the Zionist plots against Iran. 'We should present the world the due and entitled status of the Iranian nation.' Qashqavi said.
He went on saying that more than %80 of all western media outlets are directly influenced or owned by some Jewish entities where most of those groups support Zionism.
Qashqavi stressed the country's strategy as being based on friendly relationship with all countries while in the meantime trying to foil the threats posed by the enemies.
He mentioned the need to establish solid relationships with the neighbouring countries, reiterating '...we should take advantage of modern means of propaganda through which to give due information for the sake of all-out ties with the world countries.'
Last month, US officials announced the allocation of a $35 million dollars budget in 2009; a double increase from the last year's budget, for conducting media campaigns against Iran. In the United States Zionist lobbies control almost all media outlets.
