Tehran, Sept.01, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) – One more training plane crashes near Tehran very close to the site of last training aircraft that crashed about two weeks ago. Today's incident occurred at the Payam Airport in the city of Karaj - a town 40 kilometres from Tehran - the Iranian capital.
The Training plane was registered under Iran Airlines. The cause of crash is still under investigation but early reports indicate the plane's engine failure was the reason for the accident.
According to IRNA the pilot was a female and currently is in a life threatening condition.
Iran's aviation has been experiencing a string of major air crashes beginning from last month crash from Tehran to Armenia that killed over 160 people. In addition there have been several more crashes in other parts of the country including two training aircraft accidents near Tehran that killed everyone on board.
Although shortages of aircraft parts may be partly blamed for the crashes but the real causes of such incidents may have more to do with a significant degree of mismanagement, lack of appropriate skills and discipline as well as rampant corruption existing at various levels inside the work culture.
