TEHRAN, October 08, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iranian top official brushes aside the country's plan on joining the addition protocol of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) in an interview, yesterday.
Foreign Minister Manuchehr Motaki was quoted as saying, 'The director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is fully aware of the fact that Iran has no plan to join the Additional Protocol of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.'
"Iran's nuclear activities which are of peaceful nature are quite transparent and Tehran will continue with its program within the IAEA framework," Motaki added.
Also, Iran has already announced that it will withdraw from the NPT if the group of 5+1 intend to force Iran to suspend its peaceful nuclear program.
The United States and Western powers have been busy creating media hoopla against Iranian nuclear programs, hoping in vain to create an atmosphere of urgency. The propaganda campaign against Iran's peaceful nuclear program serves as an antidote for diverting attentions from widespread economic / social ills facing their peoples.
