Beijing, October 15, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Russian Prime Minister Vladmir Putin speaking on the sideline of the Shanghai Cooperation Council in Beijing said Russia could export its energy resources to China for roubles, according to reports.

 

Putin said that the way to actually implement such transaction would be for China to have the funds in roubles and for Russia to hold enough of the Chinese currency yuan.

 

In the meantime, the Russian Prime Minister expressed his full objection to any kind of sanctions on Iran citing the negotiations as the only way forward. Putin said any talks of sanctions at this time while the negotiation is going on would be counterproductive. He suggested not to threatening Iran with sanctions.

 

Western powers particularly the United States and the UK pressuring other members of the Security Council to implement sanctions against the people of Iran.
