		Tehran, November 04, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Today is the anniversary of the takeover of the former US Embassy in Tehran by revolutionary students in 1979. For this occasion thousands of Iranians took to the streets in Tehran and other cities across Iran to mark the day. 52 US embassy staff among them many spies were held for 444 days causing the United States' government to severe all ties with Iran in April 1980. Since then the two countries have had no diplomatic relations.
