Tehran, November 07, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the tide of events in the world today assures a victory and a turning point for our region in the near future.

 

He made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Syrian Foreign Minister Wallid Muallem to Tehran on Wednesday.

"In light of the fact that the global situation is changing rapidly and the domineering powers are declining, Iran and Syria should coordinate when making big decisions," Ahmadinejad said.

 

“If this coordination is conspicuous, the other regional countries will definitely join, and this way a great political, economic, and cultural power will be established in the Middle East region,” he added.

 

Muallem described Tehran-Damascus relations as so strong that no other country can ever undermine them.

 

Iran and Syria have had a strong partnership and common view points regarding  the hegemonic design of some the Western powers particularly the Americans and Israelis in Middle East.
