Technocracy at its Peak

It was only last week that Obama said the US was willing to extend its time table and give some space for Iran to make decision on a nuclear fuel exchange idea proposed at the Geneva talks last October.
However, all of a sudden two days ago he renewed the US self-imposed sanctions on Iran and then threatened more sanctions if Iran doesn't quickly accept the deal.
'Unfortunately, so far at least, Iran appears to have been unable to say yes to what everyone acknowledges is a creative and constructive approach...we are running out of time with respect to that approach.' President Obama announced.
These types of contradictory remarks and policies have become Obama's very own trademark on important issues of the day.
Another one of his contradictory moves is his recent trip to Southeast Asia, which did cost millions of dollars to American taxpayers.
At a meeting with Asian leaders it was decided that now wasn't the time to make a deal on protecting the environment. Logically, this could have been done by making a few phone calls from his office rather than going all the way to Asia.
Obama administration's policies and agendas have reached new technocratic highs like never before. Almost every decision in the US today is based on contradiction. Guantanamo prison case, wiretapping, wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, economic policies at home and so on - all show signs of immense ambiguity.
Obama's trademark approaches wouldn't necessarily go on forever as they are based on temporarily masking the problems he is facing.
The world should wait a bit longer to see what he would do once the money he injected into the Wall Street hits the bottom.
