Tehran, Nov. 22, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - A high-ranking Iranian military official explained how the country’s missiles will fall on Israel’s main city Tel-Aviv in the event of a military adventure against Iran.
Mojtaba Zolnour, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in a Saturday interview with IRNA said, ‘If the enemy tries its luck and fires a missile into Iran, our ballistic missiles would zero in on Tel Aviv before the dust settles on the attack.’
‘The enemies should keep in mind Iran’s military capabilities have made tremendous technological achievements by the efforts of the our experts.’ He said shortly after the Iranian Air Force announced it’s preparing for a five-day military drill aimed at protecting the nuclear sites.
Yesterday, Commander of Khatam-ol-Anbia Air Defence Base Brigadier announced the start of a military drill codenamed ‘Modafean-e-Aseman-e-Velayat 2 (Defenders of the Velayat’s Skies 2) to begin today in three stages.
The General outlined overall aims of the exercises, which would include use of various air-defence systems, armaments and equipments and simulating combats between two enemies.
The General also said that the war games would cover an area of approximately 600,000 sq/km, deploying various weaponries and modern technologies especially aimed at a comprehensive assessment of enemy’s electronic war capabilities.
