North Korea Calls the US the Main Troublemaker in the Region

 

Tehran, Dec. 08, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Pyongyang blamed the United States for the nuclearization of the Korean peninsula and increasing tensions in he region. North Korea also labeled the US as the main troublemaker in the region, Xinhua reported.

 

The United States has been at loggerhead with North Korea for its independent policies on a wide range issues concerning North and South Koreas. US’ successive governments played antagonistic policies towards North Korea ever since the Korean War.

 

North Korean official newspaper Rodong Sinmun daily, wrote the nuclear issue of the Korean peninsula started when US government introduced atomic warheads to South Korea and transformed it into the biggest storage site of those weapons in the Far East.

 

The North Korean government emphasized the fact that it tried countless times to push Washington to withdraw nuclear weapons from the Korean Peninsula and create a denuclearized peaceful region, but Washington’s stubbornness prevented such an action from becoming a reality.

 
The commentary once again called on Washington to withdraw all of its nuclear weapons from East Asia in an effort to ease tensions in the region.
