Tehran, Dec. 13, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iran is conducting final testing of a newly built military warship as announced by Iran’s Defense Minister General Ahmad Vahidi, in a report by Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA).

 

General Vahidi said final phases of testing of the country’s latest domestically manufactured warship is underway and very soon more detail about it would be announced to the media. He also said there are other newly manufactured missile systems which are undergoing their final preparations before joining the service.

 

The Iranian Defense Minister while attending an exhibition on the latest technological development in military field, explained to the media that Iranian technicians have been able to reach a high level of maturity with respect to research and development of new products and in this way the country’s scientific centers play an important role.

  

Iran’s prolific defense industry has achieved great strides in manufacturing and developing almost all of its domestic requirements for defensive purposes. Iran at this time manufactures multi-range missiles, tanks, submarines, air defense systems and warships.
