Western Powers Should Forget their Wants to Dominate the Middle East and the Globe
Dec. 23, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iran’s President told Western powers and above all the US strategic planners that their desire to dominate the Middle East would surely fail. Ahmadinejad delivered this message in Shiraz – an ancient city famous for its history and poetic gardens.
’The problem is that the US seeks to dominate the entire Middle East but one country stands on their way - an obstacle – and that’s the Iranian nation.’ Ahmadinejad addressed the gathering in Shiraz. He also said the media hoopla surrounding Iran’s nuclear program were mere pretexts and excuses to cover their direct meddling in this region, ‘The nuclear game is repetitious, old-fashioned and boring. Be honest and say it publicly that you are seeking dominance over the entire Middle East but Iran does not allow (you to do so). And also remember the Iranian nation and the regional countries will make it impossible for the US to dominate the Middle East.’
Western industrial nations that established a pseudo global system after the end of WWII are at a stage where they can no longer hide their inner desire of dominating the strategic energy resources of the Middle East, whereby multinationals gain control over all global affairs. The ongoing wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and other places only point to this fact.
The West claims that Iran is building nuclear weapons under the cover of a civilian nuclear program. But intrusive inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency never found a single smoking gun and diversion in the country’s nuclear program. On this Ahmadinejad reassured the Western powers that Iran does not seek nuclear weapons in any way but technically speaking if Tehran wanted to build bombs it could, but it did not.
‘[You should] know that if we wanted to build bombs, we had enough courage to announce that we were making bombs. We are a great and brave nation. We told you that we will launch the [nuclear] fuel cycle and we did it. We told you that we will industrialize the fuel production and we did it ... we told you that we will launch a new generation of centrifuges and we did.’ Ahmadinejad told the audience.
