Stripping the US of N. Arms is the least punishment
Dec. 25, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary, Saeed Jalili after visiting Hiroshima’s peace memorial museum was struck with the level of atrocity in which the American government used its newly developed atomic bomb on civilians by the end of WWII in 1945.
He called on the international community, saying that the least punishment for such an act is to strip the US of all its nuclear weapons and take away the right to veto at the UN Security Council. 'Stripping US of nuclear arms and the UN veto right, are the least punishments for dropping nuclear bomb on Hiroshima in 1945.’ Jalili said during his visit to the museum. ‘The Hiroshima disaster showed that certain powers like the U.S. make no hesitation to kill innocent people whenever they find it meets their interests.’ He added.
In 1945, the US Air force under order from former President Harry Truman dropped its newly developed atomic bomb dubbed ‘little Boy’ at exactly 8:15 local time on Hiroshima. The fissile material was 60 kg of U235 and the bomb took 57 seconds to fall from the aircraft to at about 600 meters above the city centre precisely over the city’s famed Shima Surgical Clinic before detonation. More than 140,000 people killed during and after the explosion and nearly %70 of all buildings damaged.
‘Which international body should deal with this great treachery? The UN Security Council is monopolized by the same oppressive powers,’ he said.
The US and its allies have been making false allegations against Iran's peaceful nuclear program when in fact they are the first countries that ever deployed and tested those weapons since the end of WWII.
