(Hamsayeh.Net) - U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, in yet another warning in a series of similar warnings in recent days, cautioned Iran of the U.S. military actions to tackle the Middle Eastern country's peaceful nuclear program.
In a so called high-profile announcements at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), she declared that the 'U.S. wouldn't hesitate to use its military to 'defend our friends, our interests and above all our people,' during the discussion on Iran.
She said, ' this is not an option we seek nor is it a threat, it is a promise.' Clinton also warned Iran that the offer of talks by the U.S. 'would not be an open-ended' issue while reiterating that the willingness to talk is not a sign of weakness.
Ms. Clinton's seemingly bellicose rhetoric, today, is the latest in a long line of similar comments made by the Secretary of State of that North American country. During a television interview last month she referred to the disastrous 2003 invasion of Iraq as an example for the possibility of a U.S. invasion against Iran, a country four times the size and population of Iraq and militarily not comparable.
The U.S. has been using Iran's peaceful nuclear program as a subject of media propaganda since the beginning of its unhappy adventures in the middle in recent years. This is despite repeated announcements by the IAEA that Iran's nuclear program is directed at civilian purposes, only.
Political experts believe, Ms. Clinton's tough language stems from her government's repeated failures for bringing an end to the ever growing economic disasters at home, thus eager to divert the world's public opinion from a declining American stature around the globe and at home.
