Tehran, August 15, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Another air crash accident occurred in Iran this morning. This time a training plane belonging to the country's national airline company crashed near Tehran killing both people on board.
According to an aviation official, Reza Jafarzadeh, 'A double -cockpit plane owned by the pilot training centre of the Islamic Republic of Iran's National Airline crashed at 8:55 local time killing both the pilot and the trainee in the course of the accident.'
Jafarzadeh said that a group of aviation experts were sent to the cite crash in Karaj - a city near Tehran – for investigation.
Since two weeks ago Iran experienced several major air accidents including a crash near Qazvin killing over 160 people on board. Another in Mashhad last week killed 17 people and this morning's crash, which killed two people. There have also been several other minor incidents during this same period.
Most critics blame the causes of the latest crashes on widespread mismanagement as well as rampant corruption existing at various levels inside the aviation industry.
