TEHRAN - Venezuelan Envoy to Tehran David Velasquez on Tuesday underlined his government and people's support for the nations and movements that stand and resist against oppression, aggression and violence.
"The revolution and resistance in Venezuela have caused unity and solidarity among the nation and Venezuela stands against imperialism, oppression and discrimination," Velasquez told FNA on the sidelines of a ceremony marking the end of International Festival for Islamic Resistance here in Tehran.
Asked about the prospects of resistance in the Latin America and its achievements in the region, he informed of the start of a new trend in Latin America.
Noting that some new movements are beginning in some Latino countries including Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Uruguay, Velasquez stressed that social and justice-seeking measures as well as independent and nationalist movements are developing in the region.
Those countries are creating a new structure in their relations in political, social and other fields and the revolutionary spirit in the region has created a special power and movement in the South America.
