Tehran, August 31, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iranian Air force Commander, Brigadier-General Hassan Shahsafi, announced that Iran would soon begin manufacturing an advance type of drone.
According to Fars News Agency, the advanced unmanned stealth bomber will be ready for test-flight by the end of September.
Shahsafi noted that the new aircraft has already passed its preliminary tests successfully and it is undergoing last modifications. The unmanned aircraft is designed to evade radars and conduct reconnaissance missions in wide range of conditions. It would seek and destroy targets with high accuracy.
Iran is currently self-sufficient in its domestic military hardware manufacturing including tanks, submarines, and drones missiles. This is despite the fact that the Western countries have always opposed access to advance technologies in the developing countries.
