Netanyahu in Washington To Gather Support Against Iran

Israeli backed lobbies in the US have been actively pursuing an aggressive propaganda campaign against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.

March 22, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in Washington to discuss a possible US help to supply advanced bunker-buster bombs for striking Iran’s scattered nuclear facilities.

Netanyahu, who often times threatens Iran with aerial strikes is on a three-day visit to Washington, attending a conference organized by the pro-Israeli lobby in the United States known as the AIPAC. The organization has enormous influence in all branches of the US government.

Israeli backed lobbies in the US have been actively pursuing an aggressive propaganda campaign against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. International inspectors have repeatedly verified Iran’s nuclear program for the past several years.

Last Saturday, the US President Barack Obama sent out an internet video message to Iran calling for better relationship between the two countries. But again the US President sought to address the Iranian leadership on what he termed as the lack of cyberspace freedom in Iran, very similar to what he claimed to be the case in China, in the past.

Last week a British daily the Sunday Herald published a report revealing a US secret plan to deliver a large number of bombs to the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean for an eminent attack on Iranian nuclear facilities. Military expert say the island is close to Iran and US warplanes could fly over the distance without any problems.

They also warn that a military attack would trigger an unwanted set of circumstances leading to the start of the third world war.
