Clinton Warns Iran Not to Change the Main Topic at UN Nuclear Conference

US doesn't want anybody to address that Israel refuses to join the NPT and allow IAEA inspectors to visit its hidden nuclear sites.

April 30, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - The US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that if Iranian President tries to what she labeled as a disruption of talks at the upcoming UN nuclear conference in New York next week, he would not be welcomed.

The US Secretary of states wants the Iranian President to address Iran's nuclear program's issues and refrain from speaking about Israeli belligerence with regard to non-proliferations safeguards.

The upcoming UN nuclear conference is to review the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT) rules is due to begin on May 3rd in New York. Following WWII, the UN headquarter relocated to the city of New York  from its former location in Geneva under the League of Nations (1919-1946).

At the beginning, the UN enjoyed a certain degree of independence. In recent years; however, the US government was able to exert additional pressures on the day-to-day affairs of this important global agency.  Ironically, US government officials seem to believe because the UN headquarter is situated in one its cities, the world must follow US' agendas.

The US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Thursday, ‘If President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wants to come and announce that Iran will abide by their non-proliferation requirements under the NPT, that would be very good news indeed, and we would welcome that.

But if he believes that by coming he can somehow divert attention from this very important global effort or cause confusion that might possibly throw into doubt what Iran has been up to — about which I don't think there is any room for doubt — then I don't believe he will have a particularly receptive audience,’ she added.

Apparently some US officials are afraid that the progressive Iranian President should embark upon questioning the true nature of Israel’s hidden nuclear bombs put-together by receiving unlimited helps from Western countries including France, UK, and the US since the 50’s. This happened before the very eyes of the world in secret and in direct violations of the NPT safeguards.

Tel-Aviv refuses to join the NPT and allow IAEA inspectors to visit its hidden nuclear sites.
