Israel is Prepared for War Against Iran: Netanyahu Deputy

Some years ago Israel bombed Iraq’s single Ossirak nuclear site and Tel-Aviv is using this as an example to warn other countries in the region particularly Iran.

May 11, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Israeli deputy to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tel-Aviv is ready to engage in a war against Iran.

Moshe Yaalon told journalists, Israel has gained experience necessary to fight a war against Iran by way of first launching assaults on Hezbollah in Lebanon and Palestinians. The techniques gained through these assaults would help Israelis fight against the much bigger foe i.e. Iran.

‘There is no doubt that the technological capabilities, which improved in recent years, have extended range and aerial refueling capabilities, and have brought about a massive improvement in the accuracy of ordnance and intelligence,’ Yaalon said.

Israel, which ever since its inception has been receiving military and financial aids from the US and its victorious WWII allies, is known to have illegally amassed a large number of nuclear weapons. Western supports have provided Tel-Aviv with an outward sense of strength in comparison to other states in the Middle East. Some years ago Israel bombed Iraq’s single Ossirak nuclear site and Tel-Aviv is using this as an example to tell other countries in the region particularly Iran, about its level of strength.

Western countries want Iran to halt its full-fledged domestic nuclear program. Iran’s nuclear program is now at the advance stage and the country enjoys a vast nuclear infrastructure from mining own uranium to enriching medical radioisotopes and nuclear fuel manufacturing for electricity generation. Despite Tehran’s exemplary degree of transparency, arrogant powers continue to pressure Iran over its nuclear program through economic sanctions.

Israel’s defense minister Ehud Barack believes that there will be a set of sanctions on Iran but they will be watered down so as to render them ineffective He opined, ‘With that said, there is nevertheless importance to such sanctions, because the delay has only served Iran, and it is very possible that there will be other, more effective sanctions by a specific set of European countries.’

Iran's bourgeoning nuclear program designed for peaceful purposes only is seen by many Western circles as a threat to peace and security in the region.
