Pyongyang Dismisses South Korean Allegations |

North Korean People’s Army was not founded for the purpose of attacking others: DPRK Spokesman.
May 22, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - North Korean government warned South Korea to stop unfounded accusation of its involvement in the March 26 sinking of a South Korean military ship in the Yellow Sea.
North Korean naval spokesman Colonel Park reassured South Korea by saying the North Korean People’s Army was not founded for the purpose of attacking others. ‘We have no intention to strike others first, so why should we attack a ship like the Cheonan when we have no need to strike it?’ Colonel Park asked.
Pyongyang said it would send an investigative team to Seoul. Earlier North Korea said it was ready to engage in an all-out war if others tried to impose sanctions on the country.
In the midst of growing tensions between two Koreas China called on both countries to exercise restrain. ‘We hope the parties concerned can remain calm and restrained, properly handle the issue and avoid escalating the situation,’ China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
South Korean navy blames a torpedo fired by North Korea to have been the cause of that accident in which 46 sailor were killed. ‘The evidence points overwhelmingly to the conclusion that the torpedo was fired by a North Korean submarine - there is no other plausible explanation, ‘a report issued by South Korea claimed.
