Senior Military Official Says US Has Plans to Attack Iran

A military attack on Iran would be quite destabilizing and yet allowing Iran to develop a nuclear weapon was also unacceptable. Quite frankly, I am extremely concerned about both of those outcomes. Mike Mullen.

August 02, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - The top US military officer said there is a definite set of contingency plans to attack Iran militarily if nuclear negotiations reach a dead end.

US Army Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told reporters yesterday that the United States does in fact have plans attacking Iran militarily when required. But he also warned of severe global repercussions to follow if such an attack takes place. ‘Military action against Iran could have unintended consequences that are difficult to predict in what is an incredibly unstable part of the world.’ Mullen said.

The US believes allowing Iran to possess a nuclear weapon capability would pose a great problem for the Western Civilization which depends on inexpensive and abundant resources from other parts of the world. Mullen said, ‘ a military attack on Iran would be quite destabilizing and yet allowing Iran to develop a nuclear weapon was also unacceptable.’ Adding, ‘Quite frankly, I am extremely concerned about both of those outcomes.’

The end of the world scenario envisioned by senior US officials is a natural bi-product of the self-induced illusions, generated by Zionist controlled Western media outlets about Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. Zionist controlled western media outlets have been busy exaggerating dangers of Iran’s nuclear program despite Iran's adherence to NPT regulations including permission to visit all of its nuclear facilities.

The US Admiral said he hoped that a combination of political and economic pressures could work against Iran. Mullen did not explain why Tel Aviv keeps refusing to allow international inspectors visit Israel’s clandestine nuclear facilities that allegedly hold more than 200 nuclear warheads.
